Welcome to Peerhood. These Terms explain the rules for using the Peerhood app, website, and related services. By using Peerhood, you agree to these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, accessing, or using Peerhood, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Services.

2. Feedback

We welcome feedback, ideas, comments, and suggestions. If you send us feedback, you agree that Peerhood may use it to improve the Services without restriction or compensation.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use Peerhood. By using the Services, you represent and warrant that:

• You are at least 18 years old
• You have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms
• You will comply with all applicable laws and regulations
• All information you provide is accurate and truthful

4. Account Registration

To use Peerhood, you must create an account by providing:

• A valid phone number
• An invite code (if required)
• Any additional information requested during registration

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

5. User Content and Conduct

You are solely responsible for all content you post, upload, or share through Peerhood ("User Content"). You agree not to:

• Post content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or violates any third party's rights
• Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation
• Harass, bully, or intimidate other users
• Share false, misleading, or deceptive information
• Send spam, scams, or unauthorized commercial messages
• Interfere with or disrupt the Services or servers
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Services

6. Intellectual Property

The Services, including their design, features, and functionality, are owned by Peerhood and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Services without our express written permission.

You retain ownership of User Content you post. By posting User Content, you grant Peerhood a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your User Content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Services.

7. Invite System

Peerhood may use invite codes or approval gates to manage access. Invite codes are provided at our discretion and may be limited, revoked, or disabled at any time. You agree not to:

• Sell, trade, or misuse invite codes
• Use invite codes in violation of these Terms
• Attempt to obtain invite codes through unauthorized means

8. In-Person Meetups and Safety

Peerhood may help users connect online and, when they choose, in person. Peerhood does not conduct criminal background checks or verify every user's identity, background, health, or personal history. You are responsible for your interactions with other users, including meetings that happen off the Services.

Use care when deciding whether to communicate with or meet another user. Peerhood is not responsible for the conduct, actions, omissions, or statements of users, whether online or offline. Peerhood may, but is not required to, review publicly available information or conduct background checks where appropriate.

9. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of your personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Some features of the Services use artificial intelligence ("AI") or machine learning technologies. Our use of AI and data sharing with AI or machine learning services is described in the Privacy Policy.

10. Service Availability

We strive to provide reliable service, but we do not guarantee that the Services will be available at all times or free from errors, interruptions, or defects. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Services at any time with or without notice.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time, with or without cause or notice, for any violation of these Terms or for any other reason. You may delete your account at any time through the app settings.

Upon termination, your right to use the Services will immediately cease. Some provisions of these Terms will survive termination, including those relating to intellectual property, indemnification, and limitation of liability.

12. Disclaimers

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, QUIET ENJOYMENT, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Some features of the Services use artificial intelligence or machine learning technologies ("AI Features"). AI Features may generate suggestions, summaries, introductions, or other outputs that are incomplete, inaccurate, or not what you expected. You are responsible for evaluating AI-generated output before relying on it.

13. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PEERHOOD SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES, INCLUDING DAMAGES ARISING FROM USER INTERACTIONS OR IN-PERSON MEETINGS.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Peerhood harmless from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of or relating to your use of the Services, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms.

15. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Services after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

16. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

17. Apple App Store

If you access the Services through an app acquired from the Apple App Store, the following applies: Apple has no obligation to furnish maintenance and support. In the event of any failure to conform to any warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price, if any, according to App Store policies. Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app or your use of it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
